Titleist Unveils New Pro V1x Left Dash with Enhanced Performance

Titleist introduces the Pro V1x Left Dash, a new option for golfers seeking distance and controlled ball flight.

Originally launched in 2018 as a specialized solution for select long hitters on the PGA Tour, the Pro V1x Left Dash has since become a permanent member of the Titleist ball family. Now, the model receives an update. According to Titleist, four years of development went into the new Pro V1x Left Dash, which will be available worldwide starting January 21, 2026. The ball promises to be faster, fly farther, and remain more stable in the wind, proven by players across various professional tours.

Titleist’s New Edition: New Core, New Flight Characteristics

The updated Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash features an evolved High-Gradient Dual Core. This core is more elastic, resulting in higher ball speeds. Supporting this is a thicker mantle layer that reduces spin on full shots. A thinner urethane cover provides the necessary feel around the greens. For flight performance, Titleist employs a new dimple design with 348 tetrahedral dimples, said to promote a more consistent and efficient ball flight.

Development with Detours

The origins of the Left Dash date back to 2018. Initially developed as a specialty ball for select tour pros, it was tested and refined over several years. The development journey was not straightforward. Early prototypes debuted on the PGA Tour in 2023 but exhibited excessive spin on short irons. Feedback led to a redesign focusing on the Left Dash’s essence: low spin, long distance, and a stable, high ball flight. Titleist now positions the Left Dash within the Pro V1 family as an option between the Pro V1 and Pro V1x models. The name “Left Dash” refers to the side stamp “–Pro V1x” which distinguishes it from other models. According to internal fitting data, about six to eight percent of users are recommended this ball.
