TaylorMade Qi4D Driver: Four Models for Versatility and Speed

TaylorMade introduces the Qi4D driver series with four models focused on maximum speed and compatibility for different swing types.

TaylorMade brings new momentum and speed with the Qi4D drivers. Designed for maximum speed, the new models impress with high aerodynamic efficiency and extensive adjustability. Four different models cater to various playing and swing styles.

New Faces and Aerodynamic Fine-Tuning

The Qi4D drivers are TaylorMade’s fastest and most adaptable drivers to date. They feature newly developed carbon faces that generate more efficient ball speed compared to titanium while being more robust and durable. Improved roll radii on the face help reduce spin rate deviations regardless of whether the ball is struck higher or lower on the face.

An advanced Cut-Through Speed Pocketâ„¢, designed using finite element analysis (FEA), increases face flexibility in the lower area, expanding the high-performance zone to stabilize ball speed in typical impact zones. This is complemented by a corrective face curvature. Aerodynamics of the heads are maximized with finely tuned head shapes, smooth transitions, and discreetly integrated structures that support clean airflow throughout the swing.

TaylorMade Qi4D Driver: Customization Through Shafts and Adjustment Systems

A key feature of the Qi4D series is the high level of customization. All models come with a 4° loft sleeve allowing adjustments of loft, lie angle, and face angle.

Additionally, specially developed REAX shafts are used, designed for three different swing characteristics (Hold, Balance, and Active) and available in various flex and weight classes. This allows standard shafts to be precisely matched to different player types.

Model Overview: Four Drivers with Different Focuses

Qi4D

The base model uses a quad weight system with movable TAS weights (9 g x 2 / 4 g x 2). Depending on positioning, ball speed, stability, forgiveness, as well as draw or fade tendencies can be influenced. Heavier weights in the front promote higher ball speed, while rear placement provides more stability.

Qi4D LS

The Qi4D LS is designed for maximum speed and very low spin. The head shape was aerodynamically optimized using computational fluid dynamics to ensure smooth airflow and clean separation at the club’s back. Two TAS weights (15 g and 4 g) allow precise adjustment of spin and ball flight.

Qi4D Max

The Qi4D Max emphasizes forgiveness without sacrificing speed. Use of aluminum reduces weight and creates additional adjustment options. Two movable TAS weights (13 g and 4 g) enable flexible center of gravity shifts between more ball speed or increased stability.

Qi4D Max Lite

The Qi4D Max Lite adopts the technology of the Max model but with a consistently lightweight design. The head, shaft, and grip are the lightest in the series, aimed at golfers looking to increase their clubhead speed effectively.
