TaylorMade Qi4D Driver: Four Models Deliver Speed and Versatility

TaylorMade introduces the Qi4D Driver series with four models focused on maximum speed and compatibility. The new driver enhances ball speed in detail.

TaylorMade brings fresh momentum and speed with its Qi4D drivers. Designed for maximum velocity, the new models impress with high aerodynamic efficiency and extensive adjustability options. Four distinct models cater to various playing and swing types.

New Faces and Aerodynamic Refinement

The Qi4D drivers are TaylorMade’s fastest and most adaptable yet, featuring newly developed carbon faces that generate more efficient ball speeds compared to titanium, while also being more durable and robust. Enhanced face roll radii help reduce spin rate variances, regardless of whether the ball strikes higher or lower on the face.

An advanced Cut-Through Speed Pocket™ designed using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) increases face flexibility in the lower region, creating an extended high-performance area that stabilizes ball speed across common strike zones. This is complemented by a corrective face curvature. Simultaneously, the clubhead aerodynamics have been optimized with finely tuned shapes, smooth transitions, and subtly integrated structures to support clean airflow throughout the swing.

TaylorMade Qi4D Driver: Customization with Shafts and Adjustment Systems

A key feature of the Qi4D series is high customization. All models come equipped with a 4° loft sleeve allowing adjustments to loft, lie angle, and face angle.

Additionally, specially developed REAX shafts are available, tailored to three different swing characteristics (Hold, Balance, and Active) and offered in various flex and weight classes. This allows standard shafts to be precisely matched to different player types.

Model Overview: Four Drivers with Distinct Focuses

Qi4D

The base model uses a four-weight system with movable TAS weights (9g x 2 / 4g x 2). Positioning these weights influences ball speed, stability, forgiveness, and draw or fade tendencies. Heavier weights at the front promote higher ball speeds, while rear placement enhances stability.

Qi4D LS

The Qi4D LS is designed for maximum speed and exceptionally low spin. Using computational fluid dynamics simulations, the clubhead shape was aerodynamically optimized to ensure smooth airflow and clean separation at the back of the club. Two TAS weights (15g and 4g) enable precise spin and trajectory adjustments.

Qi4D Max

The Qi4D Max prioritizes forgiveness without compromising speed. Aluminum components reduce weight and offer additional adjustment options. Two movable TAS weights (13g and 4g) allow flexible center of gravity shifts between increased ball speed or enhanced stability.

Qi4D Max Lite

The Max Lite model incorporates Max model technologies but emphasizes an ultra-lightweight design. The head, shaft, and grip are the lightest in the series, catering to golfers aiming to boost clubhead speed.
