Titleist Unveils Updated Pro V1x Left Dash for Controlled Distance

Titleist introduces the Pro V1x Left Dash, a golf ball designed for players seeking enhanced distance and controlled ball flight.

Originally launched in 2018 as a special solution for select long hitters on the PGA Tour, the Pro V1x Left Dash has become a permanent member of the Titleist ball family. Now receiving an update, the new Pro V1x Left Dash represents four years of development and will be available worldwide from January 21, 2026. The ball aims to deliver higher speed, longer carry, and greater stability in the wind, validated by players across various professional tours.

Titleist’s New Edition: Advanced Core, Improved Flight

The updated Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash features an enhanced High-Gradient Dual Core that is more elastic, resulting in increased ball speed. This is complemented by a thicker mantle layer that reduces spin on full shots and a thinner urethane cover that ensures the desired feel around the greens. The ball flight benefits from a new 348-tetrahedral dimple design, engineered to provide a more consistent and efficient trajectory.

Development Journey

The Pro V1x Left Dash traces its origins back to 2018 when it was developed as a custom option for touring pros. After several years of testing and iteration, the development process included early prototypes that debuted on the PGA Tour in 2023 but had too much spin with short irons. Based on this feedback, Titleist returned to the drawing board, focusing on the Left Dash’s core strengths: low spin, long distance, and a stable, high ball flight. Positioned between the Pro V1 and Pro V1x in Titleist’s lineup, the Left Dash features a unique side marking “–Pro V1x,” distinguishing it from other models. Internal fitting data shows that around 6-8% of players are recommended this ball model.
