Callaway has released the new Chrome Tour Family golf balls, including the Chrome Tour, Chrome Tour X, and Chrome Soft.
On Tuesday, Callaway unveiled the next generation of its premium golf balls, officially introducing the Chrome Tour Family 2026. With the models Chrome Tour, Chrome Tour X, and Chrome Soft, the manufacturer expands its portfolio specifically for ambitious golfers who value tour-level performance, consistent ball flight, and precise feel. The pre-sale starts on January 6 at 3 PM, with the balls available worldwide starting January 30, 2026.
Focus on Speed and Consistency
At the heart of the new Chrome Tour Family is Callaway’s highlighted Speed Technology. The core of this development is the new Tour Fast Mantle, which, through an optimized core and layer system, increases ball speed and adds extra distance. The goal is to provide consistent performance across all clubs. This is supported by the Advanced Seamless Tour Aero®, which according to Callaway enables a high, stable ball flight with exceptional flight and distance consistency on every shot.
Another key component is Precision Technology. This represents a holistic development approach where design, manufacturing, and testing are precisely aligned. The result is a golf ball that delivers reproducible results and offers players maximum reliability in their game.
Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X: Tour Performance Details
The Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X models are designed as 4-piece golf balls and clearly positioned in the tour segment. Both variations feature a Precision Tour Urethane Cover, which provides high control and feel, especially in short game shots. The Chrome Tour offers a medium feel and combines low spin on long shots with high spin around the greens and excellent workability.
The Chrome Tour X is aimed at players who prefer a slightly firmer ball characteristic. Control, consistency, and playability remain paramount, complemented by a design focused on maximum performance within the Chrome Family.
Chrome Soft: Soft Feel with Tour-Level Performance
The Chrome Soft rounds out the new family as a 3-piece golf ball. It maintains the well-known claim of combining outstanding tour performance with an exceptionally soft feel. Callaway also uses a urethane cover here, developed for high spin rates in the short game and precise control on approach shots. The Chrome Soft is designed for players who prefer a soft feel without sacrificing performance.
