Titleist Unveils Updated Pro V1x Left Dash Golf Ball Worldwide

Titleist introduces the Pro V1x Left Dash, offering golfers enhanced distance and controlled ball flight.

Originally launched in 2018 as a specialized solution for select long hitters on the PGA Tour, the Pro V1x Left Dash has become an integral part of the Titleist ball family. Now, the model receives a major update. According to Titleist, four years of development went into the new Pro V1x Left Dash, which will be available globally from January 21, 2026. The ball promises to be faster, fly longer, and remain more stable in windy conditions, validated by professional players across various tours.

Titleist’s New Edition: Advanced Core and Flight Characteristics

The new Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash features an enhanced high-gradient dual-core that is more elastic, delivering greater ball speed. This is supported by a thicker mantle layer that reduces spin on full shots. A thinner urethane cover provides the necessary feel around the greens. The ball’s flight is improved with a new dimple design consisting of 348 tetrahedral dimples, aimed at achieving a more consistent and efficient ball flight.

Development with Detours

The origins of the Left Dash date back to 2018 when it was developed as a special solution for selected tour professionals and tested extensively. The development process was not straightforward. Initial prototypes debuted on the PGA Tour in 2023 but were noted for excessive spin with short irons. Receiving clear feedback, Titleist returned to the drawing board. They refocused on what made Left Dash unique: low spin, exceptional distance, and a stable, high ball flight. Positioned between the Pro V1 and Pro V1x in the Pro V1 family, the Left Dash distinguishes itself with a side marking “–Pro V1x,” making it a sought-after option in fitting circles. Internal Titleist fitting data shows that six to eight percent of users currently receive Left Dash recommendations.
