Titleist presents the Pro V1x Left Dash, a new option for players seeking distance and controlled ball flight.
Originally launched in 2018 as a specialized solution for select long hitters on the PGA Tour, the Pro V1x Left Dash has become a permanent member of the Titleist ball family. Now, this model receives an update after four years of development, with worldwide availability starting January 21, 2026. The new golf ball promises increased speed, longer flight, and enhanced stability in windy conditions, validated by players across multiple professional tours.
Titleist’s New Edition: Advanced Core and Flight Characteristics
Inside the new Pro V1x Left Dash is an improved High-Gradient Dual Core, offering greater elasticity for higher ball speed. This is complemented by a thicker mantle layer that reduces spin on full shots. A thinner urethane cover ensures a soft feel around the greens. Titleist also features a new dimple design with 348 tetrahedral dimples to promote a more consistent and efficient ball flight.
Development with a Purpose
The Left Dash originated in 2018 as a bespoke solution for tour professionals and underwent extensive testing and refinement. Initial prototypes appeared on the PGA Tour in 2023 but exhibited excessive spin with short irons, leading to a redesign focused on the core attributes of low spin, long distance, and a stable high trajectory. Positioned between the Pro V1 and Pro V1x in the Pro V1 family, the Left Dash is distinguished by its side stamp “–Pro V1x.” It has become a favored choice in fitting circles and currently makes up about six to eight percent of Titleist user recommendations according to internal fitting data.
