Callaway has launched the new Chrome Tour Family golf balls, featuring the Chrome Tour, Chrome Tour X, and Chrome Soft models.
On Tuesday, Callaway unveiled the new generation of its premium golf balls, officially presenting the Chrome Tour Family 2026. The portfolio includes the Chrome Tour, Chrome Tour X, and Chrome Soft models, aimed at ambitious golfers who value tour-level performance, consistent ball flight, and precise feel. The pre-sale begins January 6 at 3 PM, with worldwide availability starting January 30, 2026.
Focus on Speed and Consistency
At the heart of the new Chrome Tour Family is Callaway’s highlighted Speed Technology. Central to this is the new Tour Fast Mantle, featuring an optimized core and layer system to increase ball speed and add distance. The goal is to deliver consistent performance across all clubs. This is supported by the Advanced Seamless Tour Aero®, which Callaway states provides a high, stable ball flight along with exceptional flight and distance consistency on every shot. Precision Technology is another key component, involving a holistic development approach with design, manufacturing, and testing finely tuned to deliver reproducible results for maximum reliability in play.
Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X: Detailed Tour Performance
The Chrome Tour and Chrome Tour X models are designed as 4-piece golf balls, clearly positioned in the tour segment. Both utilize a Precision Tour Urethane Cover, offering high control and feel especially in the short game. The Chrome Tour features a medium feel, combining low spin on long shots with high spin around the greens and excellent workability. The Chrome Tour X targets players who prefer a slightly firmer ball feel, emphasizing control, consistency, and playability with a design focused on maximum performance within the Chrome Family.
Chrome Soft: Soft Feel with Tour-Level Performance
The Chrome Soft rounds out the new family as a 3-piece golf ball, maintaining its reputation for combining outstanding tour performance with a notably soft feel. It features a urethane cover developed for high spin rates in the short game and precise control on approach shots. The Chrome Soft is aimed at players who favor a softer feel without sacrificing performance.
Pricing and Market Launch
Callaway positions the new Chrome Family in the premium segment. In Germany, the balls will be sold for €65 per dozen. With the Chrome Family 2026, Callaway reaffirms its commitment to delivering state-of-the-art golf ball technology that meets the highest performance demands—tailored by player type but united by speed, consistency, and precision.
