The 2025 season is coming to an end. We look back on the biggest highlight shots of the year and remember the unique events of 2025 – the year in review.
As the 2025 season concludes, it’s time to reflect on its memorable moments. From the European Team’s Ryder Cup victory, Rory McIlroy’s Grand Slam pursuit, to many other highlights, there is much to remember. Often, the individual shots leading to these successes are overlooked, yet they can be as spectacular as the wins themselves. This year brought legendary shots that players and fans alike will cherish for a long time.
Rory McIlroy’s No. 15 Shot at the Masters
Arguably the most legendary shot of the year happened at the Masters’ 15th hole. Rory McIlroy was tied with Justin Rose and Ludvig Aberg after 14 holes. His tee shot veered slightly left, leaving him with a tree between him and the green for his second shot on the par-5 hole. While most players would have played it safe to secure par, McIlroy took a full-risk huge draw shot towards the green, landing the ball just next to the flag. This shot not only demonstrated the Northern Irishman’s skill but also his incredible determination to win the Masters and complete his career Grand Slam in 2025.
