The 2025 season comes to an end. We look back at the biggest highlight shots of the year and remember the unique events of 2025 – the yearly review.
As the 2025 season wraps up, it’s time to reflect. With the European team’s Ryder Cup success, Rory McIlroy’s Grand Slam, and many other highlights, there is much to remember this year. Often, the individual shots leading to these victories are overlooked, yet they can be as spectacular as the achievements themselves. This year once again delivered legendary shots that players and fans alike will recall for a long time.
Rory McIlroy’s Shot on Hole 15 at the Masters
Probably the most legendary shot of the year came this year at the 15th hole of the Masters. Rory McIlroy was tied with Justin Rose and Ludvig Aberg after 14 holes. His drive went slightly left, leaving a tree between him and the green for his second shot on the par-5 hole. While most players would play safe to save par, McIlroy took full risk with a huge draw toward the green and landed the ball just next to the flag. This shot not only demonstrated McIlroy’s skill but also his incredible determination to finally win the Masters and complete the Career Grand Slam in 2025.

Patrick Reed Makes History with Albatross at the US Open
Oakmont is known as one of the toughest golf courses in the world, and the US Open is a tournament where even a round under par gives you a chance to win. Patrick Reed’s remarkable shot on the fourth hole at this year’s US Open was incredible. On the 568-meter par-5, Reed used his fairway wood for the second shot and holed out from 261 meters for an albatross—the fourth time in US Open history and the first ever at Oakmont.
