The 2025 season is coming to an end. We look back at the greatest highlight shots of the year and remember the unique moments of 2025 – the year in review.
As the 2025 season wraps up, it’s time to look back. With the European team’s Ryder Cup victory, Rory McIlroy’s Grand Slam, and many other highlights, there is a lot to remember this year. Rarely do people think about the individual shots that led to these successes, even though the shots are often as spectacular as the achievements themselves. This year again delivered legendary shots that players and fans will remember for a long time.
Rory McIlroy’s Shot on the 15th at the Masters
Arguably the most legendary shot of the year came at the 15th hole of the Masters. After 14 holes, McIlroy was tied with Justin Rose and Ludvig Aberg. His tee shot veered slightly left, leaving a tree between him and the hole on the par-5. While most players might have played safely to secure par, McIlroy went all-in, hitting a massive draw toward the green, landing just beside the pin. This shot not only showcased the Northern Irishman’s skill but also his incredible determination to finally win the Masters and complete the Career Grand Slam this year.

Patrick Reed Makes History with an Albatross at the US Open
Oakmont is one of the world’s toughest golf courses and the US Open a tournament where even a round under par can put you in contention. Patrick Reed’s shot on the 4th hole at this year’s US Open was incredible. On the 568-meter par-5, he took his fairway wood for a second shot from 261 meters and holed it for an albatross—the fourth in US Open history and the first-ever at Oakmont.
