2025 Year in Review: Best and Most Remarkable Shots of the Year

The 2025 season is coming to an end. We look back at the biggest highlight shots of the year and relive the unforgettable moments – the year in review.

As the 2025 season closes, it’s time to reflect. With the European team’s Ryder Cup victory, Rory McIlroy’s Grand Slam, and many more highlights, there is plenty to remember. Often, the shots that led to these successes are just as spectacular as the achievements themselves. This year again brought legendary shots that players and fans alike will remember for a long time.

Rory McIlroy’s Shot on the 15th at the Masters

Arguably the most legendary shot of the year came on the 15th hole at the Masters. Rory McIlroy was tied with Justin Rose and Ludvig Aberg after 14 holes. His tee shot veered slightly left, leaving a tree between him and the green for his second shot on the par-5 hole. While most players would have played conservatively to secure par, McIlroy took full risk, executing a tremendous draw toward the green and landing the ball just beside the flag. This shot not only showcased the Northern Irishman’s skill but also his incredible determination to finally win the Masters and complete the Career Grand Slam in 2025.

Patrick Reed Makes History with Albatross at the US Open

Oakmont is known as one of the toughest golf courses in the world, and the US Open is a tournament where even a round under par gives you chances to win. Patrick Reed’s fourth hole at the 2025 US Open was incredible. On the 568-meter par-5, he took his fairway wood for his second shot and aced it from 261 meters, scoring an albatross. It was only the fourth albatross in US Open history and the very first at Oakmont.
