Year in Review 2025: The Best and Most Remarkable Shots of the Year

The 2025 season is coming to an end. We look back on the biggest highlight shots and unforgettable moments of the year – The Year in Review.

As the 2025 season draws to a close, it’s time to reflect. From the European team’s Ryder Cup victory, Rory McIlroy’s Grand Slam achievement, to many other highlights, there is plenty to remember this year. Often, fans overlook the individual shots that led to these successes, but these moments are just as spectacular as the victories themselves. This year once again delivered legendary shots that players and fans alike will remember for a long time.

Rory McIlroy’s No. 15 at The Masters

Probably the most legendary shot of the year came at the 15th hole of The Masters. Rory McIlroy was tied with Justin Rose and Ludvig Aberg after 14 holes. His tee shot veered slightly left, leaving a tree between him and the green for his second shot on the par-5 hole. While most players would have played it safe to improve position and aim for par, McIlroy took a full-risk shot with a massive draw toward the green, landing just beside the flag. This shot not only showcased McIlroy’s skill but also his incredible determination to finally win The Masters and complete the Career Grand Slam this year.

Patrick Reed Makes Golf History with Albatross at the US Open

Oakmont is known as one of the toughest golf courses in the world, and the US Open is a tournament where shooting under par gives you a chance to win. Patrick Reed’s incredible shot on the 4th hole this year was unforgettable. On the 568-meter par-5, Reed used his fairway wood for his second shot and holed it from 261 meters for an albatross. This was only the fourth albatross in US Open history and the first ever at Oakmont.
