Year in Review 2025: The Best and Most Remarkable Shots of the Year

The 2025 season is coming to an end. We look back at the year’s biggest highlight shots and remember the unique moments of 2025 – the year in review.

As the 2025 season concludes, it’s time to reflect. With the European Team’s Ryder Cup victory, Rory McIlroy’s Grand Slam, and many more highlights, there’s plenty to remember this year. Often, the shots that led to these successes are overlooked, even though they can be as spectacular as the achievements themselves. This year also brought legendary shots that players and fans alike will cherish for a long time.

Rory McIlroy’s Shot on Hole 15 at the Masters

Probably the most legendary shot of the year came on hole 15 at the Masters. Rory McIlroy was tied after 14 holes with Justin Rose and Ludvig Aberg. His tee shot went slightly left, leaving a tree between him and the green for his second shot on the par 5. While most players would have played it safe to secure par, McIlroy went all-in, hitting a tremendous draw toward the green, landing just beside the flag. This shot not only showcased the Northern Irishman’s skill but also his incredible determination to finally win the Masters and complete the Career Grand Slam in 2025.

Patrick Reed Makes Golf History with Albatross at the US Open

Oakmont is known as one of the toughest golf courses worldwide, and the US Open as a tournament where even a round under par gives you a shot at the title. Patrick Reed’s fourth hole at this year’s US Open was truly incredible. On the 568-meter par 5, he took his fairway wood for the second shot and holed it from 261 meters for an albatross – only the fourth ever in US Open history and the first ever at Oakmont.
