The 2025 season is wrapping up. We look back at the year’s greatest highlight shots and remember the unique moments of 2025 – the year in review.
As the 2025 season comes to a close, it’s time to reflect. With highlights like the European team’s Ryder Cup victory, Rory McIlroy’s Grand Slam pursuit, and many more, there’s plenty to remember. Often, we focus on the victories rather than the individual shots that led to them. Yet, these shots are often as spectacular as the wins themselves. This year again brought legendary shots that players and fans will cherish for a long time.
Rory McIlroy’s Hole 15 Shot at the Masters
Arguably the most legendary shot of the year came on hole 15 at the Masters. After 14 holes, Rory McIlroy was tied with Justin Rose and Ludvig Aberg. His tee shot went slightly left, leaving a tree between him and the green on the Par 5. While most would play it safe to secure par, McIlroy took a huge risk with a massive draw and sent the ball near the flag. This shot showcased not only his skill but also his fierce determination to finally win the Masters and complete the career Grand Slam in 2025.

Patrick Reed Makes Golf History with Albatross at the US Open
Oakmont is one of the toughest golf courses globally, and the US Open is a tournament where shooting under par is already a feat. Even more incredible was Patrick Reed’s albatross on the 568-meter par-5 4th hole. Using his fairway wood for his second shot, he holed out from 261 meters. This was only the fourth albatross in the US Open’s history and the first ever at Oakmont.
