Woods’ Career at 50: A New Chapter Full of Challenges for Tiger and the Tours

Where will the GOAT go next? PGA Tour? PGA Tour Champions? Majors and senior majors? Many questions, and it’s complicated.

The question ‘Quo vadis, Tiger?’ can be asked almost every year since 2009, when his extramarital affairs came to light. After returning to form in 2013, an injured back sidelined him in 2014. In 2019, he silenced doubters with a fifth Masters win and 15th major, proving the mantra ‘They never come back’ wrong. But everything changed on February 23, 2021, when a serious car accident in California nearly cost him his right lower leg and foot, throwing his career off course.

Quo Vadis, Tiger: Eligibility for PGA Tour Champions at 50?

Now 50 years old, Eldrick Tont Woods is officially eligible for PGA Tour Champions, where he can play using a cart without special permission. This milestone raises hope but also adds complexity given his physical condition and career plans. Despite his achievements, questions remain about how active he will be on the over-50 circuit.
