Woods’ Career at 50: New Chapter with Challenges for Tiger and the Tours

Where is the GOAT heading next? PGA Tour? PGA Tour Champions? Majors and Senior Majors? Many questions arise, and it’s complicated.

Quo vadis, Tiger? This question could be asked every year since 2009 when his off-course issues came to light. Since 2014, after a back injury halted his prime form, and especially since 2019, when he triumphed at his fifth Masters and 15th major, proving skeptics wrong who said ‘They Never Come Back.’

Especially after the severe car crash on February 23, 2021, which almost cost him his leg and dramatically altered the course of his career. Miraculously alive, Tiger’s future on the course became uncertain.

Quo vadis, Tiger: Eligibility for PGA Tour Champions at 50?

Eldrick Tont Woods turned 50 on December 30, 2025, allowing him automatic eligibility for the PGA Tour Champions, where players over 50 compete. He’s entitled to use a cart on the fairways. However, the situation isn’t as straightforward as it seems due to his physical condition and other factors.
