WITB: Justin Rose’s Clubs at the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open

From driver to putter: We take a look inside Justin Rose’s bag, showing the clubs that aided his record victory at Torrey Pines.

Even at 45 years old, Englishman Justin Rose left his competitors behind at Torrey Pines during the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open on the PGA Tour. With a seven-stroke lead and a tournament record of 23 under par, the South African-born player secured his first title of the season. A look into his bag reveals a versatile selection of clubs, matching his impressive play demonstrated in Southern California.

Justin Rose’s driver choice: Callaway

Off the tee, Rose starts with a 9° loft Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond Max driver. This high-performance club is designed for experienced players seeking maximum control, a compact head, and low spin, while maintaining forgiveness with the “Max” construction. It combines tour-proven performance with improved stability through the Ai Smart Face technology, which uses real player data to optimize the clubface and create multiple sweet spots over its surface. This stabilizes spin and launch angle on off-center hits. During the Farmers Insurance Open, Rose achieved a maximum driving distance of 352 yards (about 322 meters) with this driver.

Fairway woods for every shot

Complementing his driver is a TaylorMade M6 3-wood with a 15° loft, featuring Twist-Face technology that delivers explosive shots from both turf and tee. An enhanced Speed Pocket cutout in the sole increases clubface flexibility and trampoline effect at impact, transferring more energy for higher and longer shots even on mishits. Additionally, Rose carries a TaylorMade QiD4 7-wood with 21° loft, ideal for mid- to long-range approach shots with high ball flight for soft landings on the green, and especially suited for rough conditions. This new model has quickly become popular among professionals.

Irons that combine control and feel

Rose selects utility irons according to course conditions, using either a 4 or 5 iron from Japanese manufacturer Miura’s TC-502 Tour Cavity series. For standard irons (6–PW), he opts for Miura’s MC-502 Muscle Cavity blades. The TC models offer more forgiveness and higher launch due to cavity backs, while the MC blades provide maximum control and feel, requiring precise ball striking. For wedges, Rose trusts Titleist’s Vokey Design SM10 models with 52° and 56° loft, or the WedgeWorks version with 60° loft.

The final club in Rose’s bag comes from Carlsbad, California: the Scotty Cameron Phantom T-5 Tour Prototype putter, made from 303 stainless steel and 6061 aircraft aluminum in a mallet design. Not yet commercially available, Rose has been testing it since September 2025. For golf balls, he uses the Titleist Pro V1x, like many of his tour peers.
