The 2026 golf season offers fans a wealth of exciting tournament dates. From the prestigious men’s and women’s Majors to the Solheim Cup and events across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, the tournament calendar is packed with high-profile occasions.
Men’s Majors: Tradition, Prestige and Historic Venues
The men’s Major season traditionally begins from April 9-12 with the legendary Masters. After Rory McIlroy became the sixth player and first European ever in 2025 to complete the career Grand Slam by winning the Masters, he returns as the defending champion at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia, USA. In mid-May, the PGA Championship takes place from May 4-17 at Aronimink Golf Club in Newton Square, Pennsylvania. The summer continues with the US Open from June 18-21 at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York. In 2025, American J.J. Spaun secured the title on home soil. The men’s Major season traditionally concludes with The Open from July 16-19 at Royal Birkdale Golf Club in Southport, England. After Scottie Scheffler’s success at the PGA Championship, he claimed his second Major title of the year at The Open.
Women’s Five Majors and the Solheim Cup
The women’s golf calendar in 2026 also features consecutive highlights. The season opens from April 23-26 with the Chevron Championship in Texas. Approximately six weeks later, from June 4-7, the US Women’s Open presented by Ally is hosted at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California. In 2025, Swede Maja Stark celebrated her first Major victory and the first European title at the US Women’s Open in 19 years. This is followed by the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship from June 25-28 at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota. July includes the Amundi Evian Championship from July 9-12 at the Evian Resort Golf Club in Evian-les-Bains, France, before the Major season wraps up with the AIG Women’s Open from July 30 to August 2 at Royal Lytham & St. Annes Golf Club in Lancashire, England.
A particular highlight in 2026 is the Solheim Cup, the premier women’s team event held every two years. The 2026 edition will take place from September 11-13 at Bernards Golf in Den Bosch, Netherlands. Among the confirmed Team Europe players are Dutch Anne Van Dam, Anna Nordqvist, Caroline Hedwall, and Mel Reid.
