The match was highlighted by the first albatross in TGL history. It was only during the second phase, the Singles, that Los Angeles secured a clear victory.
Triples Phase: Early Hammer Gives Los Angeles the Lead
During the second hole of the Triples phase, Los Angeles made the first hammer, earning two points. Jupiter Links responded with a hammer on the fifth hole, securing an important point. Los Angeles extended the lead on the sixth hole and finished the Triples phase with a score of 4:1 after Jupiter Links incurred a penalty on the final hole.
In the Singles phase, Los Angeles continued to dominate. Justin Rose opened the tenth hole (Par 5) with a strong 300-meter drive. Max Homa followed with a solid but shorter shot, leaving New York in a good position to make a comeback.
Historic Moment: Justin Rose Achieves First Albatross in TGL
On the tenth hole, Justin Rose made a historic 210-meter shot with a 4-iron, scoring the first-ever albatross in TGL history, thrilling fans at the SoFi Center. Even Tiger Woods smiled, noting he never achieved an albatross in his career. This shot extended Los Angeles’s lead to 5:1.

Jupiter Links scored three points on the 12th and 13th holes, with Kevin Kisner making Par and Max Homa adding a Birdie, making the match close at 4:5.
Closing Holes: Los Angeles Seals the Win
Los Angeles used a hammer on the penultimate hole, which Jupiter Links accepted to stay in the match. Collin Morikawa’s Par secured the hole for Los Angeles, effectively sealing the victory. The game ended 8:4 in favor of the California team.
