With a strong team effort and a historic moment by Justin Rose, Los Angeles defeats New York in the Tomorrow Golf League.
On Tuesday, at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, the Tomorrow Golf League (TGL) match featured the New York-based Jupiter Links Golf Club (with Max Homa, Kevin Kisner, and Akshay Bhatia) versus the Los Angeles Golf Club (with Justin Rose, Collin Morikawa, and Sahith Theegala). The match was crowned by the first-ever albatross in TGL history. The Los Angeles team secured the win decisively during the second playing phase, known as the Singles.
Triples Phase: Early Hammer Gives Los Angeles Lead
During the second hole of the first phase called Triples, the Los Angeles Golf Club scored the first hammer, earning two points immediately. Jupiter Links responded with their first hammer on the fifth hole, securing an important point. Los Angeles extended their lead on the sixth hole, and after nine holes, they led 4:1, benefiting from a penalty stroke incurred by Jupiter Links on the final Triples hole.
In the Singles phase, momentum shifted clearly to Los Angeles. Justin Rose opened on the tenth hole (par 5) with a powerful 300-meter drive. Max Homa of New York also played solidly, positioning his second shot just short of the green, keeping New York’s hopes alive to regain points.

Justin Rose then made history on the tenth hole with a 210-meter 4-iron shot resulting in an albatross, electrifying the fans at the SoFi Center. Tiger Woods himself smiled, admitting never having achieved an albatross in his career. This shot extended Los Angeles’ lead to 5:1.

Jupiter Links clawed back three points on holes 12 and 13, with Kevin Kisner making par after an opponent’s penalty, and Max Homa adding birdie points through a hammer, narrowing the match to 4:5 and creating late suspense.
Closing Holes: Los Angeles Seals the Win
Los Angeles then used their remaining hammer on the penultimate hole, forcing New York to accept it or be eliminated. Collin Morikawa sealed that hole with a par, effectively securing the victory. The final hole didn’t yield points for New York, ending the match 8:4 in favor of the Californian team.
With this win, Los Angeles improves to a 1-1-0 record, remaining in playoff contention, while Jupiter Links suffers their fifth consecutive loss
