TMRW Sports Announces First LPGA Tour Players for WTGL 2026-27

The WTGL will launch in winter 2026-27. TMRW Sports announces the first LPGA Tour players participating next winter.

TMRW Sports has revealed the initial group of LPGA Tour players committed to the WTGL, a new team golf platform in partnership with the LPGA. The global roster includes world number 1 Jeen Ylisa Thitikul from Thailand, rising English star Charley Hull, three-time Olympic medalist Lydia Ko of New Zealand, Canada’s most successful golfer Brooke Henderson, and seven-time US Solheim Cup participant Lexi Thompson.

Top Stars Join WTGL

Following the model of the TGL, the WTGL features some of the sport’s best stars, demonstrated by the early wave of player commitments. Leading the pack is undoubtedly world number one Jeen Ylisa Thitikul, who has claimed five LPGA Tour awards and seven LPGA Tour victories. She has led the world rankings since August 2025 and is one of the game’s biggest talents at just 22 years old.

Also set for the upcoming league is England’s Charley Hull, currently ranked fifth globally, with three LPGA Tour wins and an impressive 15-9-3 record across seven Solheim Cups representing Team Europe.

LPGA Hall of Famer and former world number one Lydia Ko, 28, will also join the WTGL next year. She boasts 23 LPGA Tour wins, including three major titles, and three Olympic medals.

Canada’s Brooke Henderson is the fourth player announced by TMRW Sports for the WTGL. With 14 LPGA Tour victories including two majors, she holds the record as the most successful Canadian female golfer.

The final member of the first WTGL group is 30-year-old American Lexi Thompson, who won the 2014 Kraft Nabisco Championship, becoming the second-youngest major winner in LPGA Tour history.

\”WTGL Will Be a Global Stage\”

Mike McCarley, founder and CEO of TMRW Sports, expressed optimism after the announcement: \”WTGL will be a global stage where LPGA Tour stars shine, and this initial wave of committed players embodies that opportunity with some of the world’s best competitors,\” he said. \”These athletes will excel in WTGL’s competitive environment, while fans gain unprecedented access to their talents and personalities through the league’s modern team matchplay format.\”

The WTGL, scheduled for the winter of 2026/27, will feature fast-paced team matchplay at the dedicated SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Showcasing the skills, personalities, and teamwork of LPGA stars, the league builds on the foundation established by TGL presented by SoFi. In addition to TGL’s elements such as microphone moments, risk-reward team decisions, and the throwing of the Hammer, WTGL utilizes the same tech-driven platform offering detailed shot performance data and statistics seamlessly integrated into competition. With Alex Morgan’s Trybe Ventures as the lead capital partner, WTGL is TMRW Sports’ second project in partnership with the LPGA. More details will be announced in the coming months – stay updated
