TMRW Sports announces first LPGA players for WTGL 2026/27

The WTGL will launch in winter 2026-27. TMRW Sports announces the first LPGA Tour players joining the league next winter.

TMRW Sports revealed the inaugural group of LPGA Tour players committed to WTGL, a new team golf platform in partnership with the LPGA. The global roster includes world number one Jeeno Thitikul from Thailand, rising English star Charley Hull, three-time Olympic medalist Lydia Ko of New Zealand, Canada’s most successful golfer Brooke Henderson, and seven-time U.S. Solheim Cup participant Lexi Thompson.

Star Power in WTGL

Like the TGL, the WTGL will feature some of the sport’s top stars, as evidenced by its first wave of committed players.

Leading the group is Jenny Thitikul, the world number one, who has already earned five LPGA Tour awards and seven Tour wins. She has led the world rankings since August 2025 and, at just 22, is one of the biggest talents in golf.

Also joining is Charley Hull, currently ranked fifth globally. The Englishwoman has won three LPGA Tour events and boasts an impressive 15-9-3 Solheim Cup record representing Team Europe across seven Cup appearances.

LPGA Hall of Famer and former world number one Lydia Ko will be part of the WTGL next year. The 28-year-old has 23 LPGA wins, including three majors, and three Olympic medals to her name.

Canada’s Brooke Henderson, announced as the fourth player, has claimed 14 LPGA victories, including two majors, making her the most successful Canadian female golfer ever.

The final face of the first WTGL lineup is 30-year-old American Lexi Thompson, who won the 2014 Kraft Nabisco Championship, becoming the second-youngest major winner in LPGA history.

\”WTGL Will Be a Global Stage\”

Mike McCarley, founder and CEO of TMRW Sports, expressed confidence about WTGL’s future: \”The WTGL will be a global stage for LPGA stars to shine, and this first wave of committed players showcases this with some of the world’s best golfers,\” he said. \”These athletes will excel in the WTGL’s competitive environment while fans admire their skills and build deeper connections through unprecedented access provided by the league’s modern team match play format.\”
