TMRW Sports Announces First LPGA Players for WTGL 2026-27 Season

The WTGL will launch in winter 2026-27. TMRW Sports announces first LPGA players for the upcoming season.

TMRW Sports has revealed the first group of LPGA Tour players committed to the WTGL, a new team golf platform in partnership with the LPGA. The global lineup features world No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul from Thailand, rising English star Charley Hull, three-time Olympic medalist Lydia Ko from New Zealand, Canada’s most successful golfer Brooke Henderson, and seven-time US Solheim Cup participant Lexi Thompson.

Prominent Stars to Shine in WTGL

Following the example set by the TGL, the WTGL will showcase some of golf’s top talent. The initial wave of committed players highlights the league’s star power.

Leading the group is Jeeno Thitikul, the world No. 1 who has earned five LPGA Tour awards and seven wins. Thitikul has held the top ranking since August 2025 and, at 22 years old, is one of the game’s brightest prospects.

Also joining is Charley Hull from England, ranked No. 5 globally, with three LPGA Tour victories and an impressive 15-9-3 record across seven Solheim Cups for Team Europe.

LPGA Hall of Famer and former world No. 1 Lydia Ko will also compete. The 28-year-old boasts 23 LPGA Tour wins, including three majors and three Olympic medals.

Canada’s Brooke Henderson is the fourth announced player. With 14 LPGA Tour titles, including two majors, she stands as the most successful Canadian female golfer ever.

Rounding out the initial group is 30-year-old American Lexi Thompson, the 2014 Kraft Nabisco Championship winner and the second-youngest major champion in LPGA history.

“The WTGL Will Be a Global Stage”

Mike McCarley, founder and CEO of TMRW Sports, expressed optimism about the WTGL’s future: “The WTGL will be a global stage where LPGA stars can shine, and this first wave of committed players represents that opportunity with some of the world’s best. Fans will admire their skills and build a deeper connection through unprecedented access enabled by the league’s modern matchplay team format.”

Scheduled to begin in winter 2026/27 at the custom-built SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, the WTGL will deliver exciting team matchplays showcasing the skills, personalities, and team spirit of LPGA stars. Building on the TGL presented by SoFi platform, WTGL will also feature microphone moments, risk-reward team decisions, and dynamic gameplay elements, supported by advanced shot data and statistical analyses seamlessly integrated into the competition. With Alex Morgan’s Trybe Ventures as lead capital partner, WTGL is TMRW Sports’ second project in partnership with the LPGA.
