How Tiger Woods Is Celebrating His 50th Birthday in Style

With a star-studded guest list, top music act, and title sponsor, Tiger Woods’ January birthday party is set to impress.

Tiger Woods turned 50 on December 30, and the celebration is set to be grand. His foundation is hosting a large party on January 14 featuring an exclusive guest list, a star music act, and even a title sponsor, reports Front Office Sports.

The Occasion

When a golf legend like Tiger Woods turns 50, it’s bound to be celebrated in style. Under the motto ‘RED: Celebrating Legacy,’ about 300 guests will join the festive event at the luxury resort The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. The event is organized by Woods’ foundation, the TGR Foundation, aiming to honor Woods’ achievements both on and off the golf course while looking to the future. Guests include friends like Justin Thomas and Woods’ longtime caddie Joe LaCava, as well as other prominent figures from the sports world.

The Theme

The evening will focus on the birthday honoree. The dress code is ‘a touch of red,’ a nod to the iconic final-round outfit of the 15-time major champion that also inspired his own clothing line. The evening’s menu is inspired by the dishes Tiger has enjoyed at the Champions Dinner following his five Masters victories, possibly including elements of the McDonald’s-inspired meal he served after his first Masters win, featuring cheeseburgers, fries, and milkshakes. A performance by Jon Bon Jovi will round off the evening, which is presented by title sponsor Ernst & Young.

The Cause

The event is not only a celebration of 50 years of Tiger Woods’ life but also marks the 30th anniversary of his foundation. The TGR Foundation aims to raise $50 million that evening to expand the TGR Learning Labs, which offer free STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics), career-related programs, and wellness activities for middle and high school students.
