Reactions to Tiger Woods’ Accident

Professionals golfers and other high-profile figures react to the events of the last morning near Los Angeles, California, where Tiger Woods was involved in a serious car accident just after 7 am local time.

He sustained serious injuries to both his legs as a result of the crash, CNN reports, and is now awake and recovering after surgery, per an official statement given on Twitter.

Justin Thomas, current world number 3, was among those sending thoughts and good wishes:

Woods had been hoping to participate in the Master’s this year after beginning his recovery from extensive back surgery.

The car overturned multiple times as it spun out of control in Rancho Palos Verdes, near Los Angeles.

The cause of the crash is not yet known.
