Tiger Woods’ 50th birthday will be marked by a high-profile party featuring a top music act and a title sponsor.
Tiger Woods turned 50 on December 30th, and his foundation is hosting a grand celebration on January 14th with an exclusive guest list, a star music act, and even a title sponsor, reports Front Office Sports.
The Occasion
When a golf legend like Tiger Woods turns 50, it calls for a big celebration. Under the theme “RED: Celebrating Legacy,” around 300 guests will celebrate the milestone at the luxury resort The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. The event, organized by Woods’ TGR Foundation, aims to honor his achievements on and off the golf course and look ahead to the future. The guest list includes friends such as Justin Thomas, Woods’ longtime caddie Joe LaCava, and other sports personalities.
The Theme
The evening will revolve around the birthday honoree. The dress code is “a touch of red,” recalling the iconic final outfit of the 15-time major winner, which also inspired his own clothing line. The dinner menu is inspired by the meals Tiger enjoyed at Champions Dinners following his five Masters victories, possibly including elements from the McDonald’s-inspired meal served at his first Masters win, featuring cheeseburgers, fries, and milkshakes. A performance by Jon Bon Jovi will cap off the evening, presented by the title sponsor Ernst & Young.
The Cause
The event celebrates not only 50 years of Tiger Woods’ life but also the 30th anniversary of his foundation. The TGR Foundation aims to raise $50 million during the evening to expand the TGR Learning Labs, which offer free STEAM education (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics), career-related programs, and wellness activities for middle and high school students.
