Tiger Woods to Celebrate 50th Birthday with Star-Studded Event in Florida

Tiger Woods’ 50th birthday celebration in January features a star guest list, a top music act, and a title sponsor.

Tiger Woods turned 50 on December 30, a milestone that calls for a grand celebration. His foundation is hosting a large party on January 14 with an exclusive guest list, a star music act, and even a title sponsor, reports Front Office Sports.

The Occasion

When a golf legend like Tiger Woods turns 50, it naturally calls for a big celebration. Under the theme ‘RED: Celebrating Legacy,’ the milestone birthday will be celebrated with around 300 guests. The party will take place at the luxury resort The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. The event is organized by Woods’ foundation, the TGR Foundation, aiming to honor Tiger Woods’ achievements on and off the golf course while also looking ahead to the future. The guest list includes friends like Justin Thomas and Woods’ longtime caddie Joe LaCava, as well as other major figures from the sports world.

The Theme

The evening will focus entirely on the birthday honoree. The dress code is ‘a touch of red,’ inspired by the iconic final outfit of the 15-time major champion, which also influenced his own clothing line. The menu for the evening is inspired by the dishes Tiger enjoyed at the Champions Dinner following his five Masters victories. This may include elements from the McDonald’s-inspired menu served at his first Masters win, which featured cheeseburgers, fries, and milkshakes. A performance by Jon Bon Jovi will round off the evening, which even has its own sponsor: the accounting firm Ernst & Young is presenting the event.

Supporting a Good Cause

The event is not only a celebration of 50 years in Tiger Woods’ life but also marks the 30th anniversary of his foundation. The TGR Foundation aims to raise 50 million dollars during the evening to expand the TGR Learning Labs, which offer free STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics), career-related programs, and wellness activities for middle and high school students.
