Tiger Woods’ 50th birthday celebration in January features a star-studded guest list, top music act, and a title sponsor.
Tiger Woods turned 50 on December 30, and a grand celebration is planned. His foundation is hosting a large party on January 14 with an exclusive guest list, a star music act, and even a title sponsor, reports Front Office Sports.
The Occasion
A golf legend like Tiger Woods turning 50 calls for a big celebration. Under the motto ‘RED: Celebrating Legacy’, about 300 guests will join the festive party at the luxury resort The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. The event is organized by Woods’ TGR Foundation, aiming to celebrate his achievements on and off the golf course and look toward the future. Guests include friends like Justin Thomas, Woods’ longtime caddie Joe LaCava, and other sports stars.
The Theme
The evening will focus on the birthday honoree. The dress code is ‘a touch of red’, inspired by the iconic final outfit of the 15-time major winner, which also inspired his own clothing line. The menu will be inspired by the dishes served at Woods’ Champions Dinners after his five Masters wins. This could include items from the McDonald’s-inspired menu from his first Masters victory, when Woods served cheeseburgers, fries, and milkshakes. A performance by Jon Bon Jovi will highlight the evening, which is even presented by a title sponsor: the accounting firm Ernst & Young.
The Charity Purpose
The event not only celebrates 50 years of Tiger Woods’ life but also marks the 30th anniversary of his foundation. The TGR Foundation aims to raise 50 million dollars that evening to support the expansion of TGR Learning Labs, which offer free STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics), career-related programs, and wellness activities for middle and high school students.
