Tiger Woods’ 50th birthday celebration will feature a star-studded guest list, top music act, and title sponsor.
Tiger Woods turned 50 on December 30 and will celebrate in style. His foundation is hosting a grand party on January 14 with an exclusive guest list, a star music act, and even a title sponsor, reports Front Office Sports.
The Occasion
When a golf legend like Tiger Woods turns 50, it calls for a big celebration. Under the motto “RED: Celebrating Legacy,” the milestone birthday will be celebrated with about 300 guests at the luxury resort The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida. The event is organized by Woods’ foundation, the TGR Foundation, aiming to celebrate Woods’ achievements on and off the golf course and to look ahead to the future. Guests include friends like Justin Thomas and Woods’ longtime caddie Joe LaCava, as well as other prominent sports figures.
The Theme
The evening will fully honor the birthday star. The dress code is “a touch of red,” in memory of the iconic final outfit of the 15-time major winner, which also inspired his own clothing line. The evening’s menu is inspired by the meals Woods served at his Champions Dinners following his five Masters victories. This could include items from the McDonald’s-inspired menu of his first Masters win, where Woods served cheeseburgers, fries, and milkshakes. A performance by Jon Bon Jovi will round off the evening, which is presented by title sponsor Ernst & Young.
Charity Focus
The event is not only to celebrate 50 years of Tiger Woods but also to mark the 30th anniversary of his foundation. The TGR Foundation aims to raise $50 million during the evening to support the expansion of TGR Learning Labs, which provide free STEAM education (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics), career programs, and wellness activities for middle and high school students.
