TGL Season Two Kicks Off with Atlanta vs. New York Rematch

TGL returns for Season Two with a rematch between Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club at the SoFi Center.

The second season of TGL tees off with a familiar showdown as Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club face off on December 28. These two teams met in last season’s final, where Atlanta claimed the title by the narrowest of margins. The new campaign begins with the championship banner being raised, followed by a match played in the familiar Triples and Singles format. Both teams start with three Hammers, with Atlanta opening play on the first hole. Star-studded lineups return: Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Xander Schauffele for New York; Patrick Cantlay, Lucas Glover, and Billy Horschel for Atlanta.

Atlanta Drive GC Looks to Repeat Success

Atlanta Drive GC enters the new TGL season with strong stats from last year. The team excelled in Singles play, leading the league in Hammer points. Billy Horschel topped the league in Singles points won, Patrick Cantlay remained unbeaten in head-to-head Singles against New York, and Lucas Glover impressed with a flawless fairway accuracy. New York rebounded from an 0–2 start to reach the playoffs, with Cameron Young leading all players in points and showcasing his power off the tee.

New Course Features and Format Tweaks

Season Two also brings technical updates to the TGL playing field. The GreenZone has been expanded, offering more pin positions and varied putting lines. Beneath the turf, new actuators allow for adjustable contours, enhancing strategic possibilities. The hole catalog has also been refreshed, introducing new designs like Stone & Steeple, Stinger, and Cenote. Team-themed holes such as Fore-0-Fore for Atlanta and Big Apple for New York add a personalized touch. In total, 15 custom-designed holes will be played.
