TGL Season Two Opens with Atlanta vs. New York Rematch

TGL kicks off its second season with a rematch between Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club at the SoFi Center.

The opening match of TGL Season Two brings fans back to a familiar rivalry. On December 28, Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club face off once again, echoing the finale of the inaugural season. Atlanta clinched both final matches by a single point and enters the new campaign as reigning champions. Before the first tee shot, the championship banner will be raised to the rafters, followed by the match featuring the familiar Triples and Singles format. Both teams begin with three Hammers, with Atlanta teeing off first. The lineups feature well-known names: Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Xander Schauffele for New York; Patrick Cantlay, Lucas Glover, and Billy Horschel for Atlanta.

Atlanta Drive GC Builds on Proven Strengths

Atlanta Drive GC enters the new TGL season with strong metrics from last year. The team excelled in Singles play, leading the league in Hammer points. Billy Horschel topped the league in Singles points won, Patrick Cantlay remained undefeated in Singles matches against New York, and Lucas Glover impressed with a flawless fairway hit rate. New York Golf Club rebounded from an 0–2 start to make the playoffs, with Cameron Young leading all players in total points and making an impact with his driving distance.

New Course Features and Technical Enhancements

With the new season, TGL has also updated its playing environment. The GreenZone has been significantly expanded, offering more pin positions and varied putting lines. Beneath the surface, new actuators allow for adjustable contours, enhancing tactical play. The hole catalog has also been refreshed, introducing new holes like Stone & Steeple, Stinger, and Cenote. Team-themed holes such as Fore-0-Fore for Atlanta and Big Apple for New York add flavor to the 15 custom-designed holes.
