TGL returns to action with a high-stakes rematch between Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club at the SoFi Center.
The second season of TGL tees off with a familiar showdown as Atlanta Drive GC faces New York Golf Club on December 28. This matchup mirrors last season’s final, which Atlanta narrowly won by a single point in both matches. The new campaign begins with a championship banner ceremony before the action resumes in the signature TGL format, featuring Triples and Singles segments. Both teams start with three Hammers, and Atlanta opens play on the first hole. Star-studded lineups include Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Xander Schauffele for New York, while Patrick Cantlay, Lucas Glover, and Billy Horschel represent Atlanta.
Atlanta Drive GC builds on proven strengths
Atlanta Drive GC enters the new TGL season with strong metrics from last year. The team excelled in Singles play, scoring the most Hammer points league-wide. Billy Horschel led the league in Singles points, Patrick Cantlay remained undefeated in head-to-head Singles against New York, and Lucas Glover stood out with a flawless fairway accuracy rate. New York rebounded from an 0–2 start to clinch a playoff spot, with Cameron Young leading all players in total points and making an impact with his powerful drives.
Enhanced gameplay through tech upgrades
The new TGL season also brings significant changes to the playing field. The GreenZone has been expanded, offering more pin positions and varied putting lines. Additional actuators beneath the turf now allow for adjustable contours, increasing tactical possibilities. The hole catalog has been updated with new designs like Stone & Steeple, Stinger, and Cenote. Team-themed holes such as Fore-0-Fore for Atlanta and Big Apple for New York also debut. In total, 15 custom-designed holes will be played.
