TGL Season 2 kicks off with Atlanta vs. New York rematch

TGL returns with a rematch between Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club to open its second season at the SoFi Center.

The second season of TGL kicks off with a familiar showdown as Atlanta Drive GC faces New York Golf Club on December 28. These two teams met in last season’s final, where Atlanta narrowly claimed victory by a single point in both matches. As reigning champions, Atlanta will raise their championship banner before teeing off in the season opener. The match follows the established format, featuring both Triples and Singles segments. Each team begins with three Hammers, and Atlanta will open play on the first hole. Star-studded lineups include Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Xander Schauffele for New York, while Atlanta fields Patrick Cantlay, Lucas Glover, and Billy Horschel.

Atlanta Drive GC enters with proven strengths

Atlanta Drive GC brings solid momentum into the new TGL season. The team excelled in Singles last year, leading the league in Hammer points. Billy Horschel topped the league in Singles points earned, Patrick Cantlay remained unbeaten in Singles against New York, and Lucas Glover impressed with flawless fairway accuracy. New York Golf Club rebounded from a 0–2 start to make the playoffs, with Cameron Young leading all players in total points and showcasing his power off the tee.

New season, new course dynamics

TGL has introduced several technical enhancements for the new season. The GreenZone has been significantly expanded, offering more pin positions and varied putting lines. Additional actuators beneath the turf now allow for adjustable contours, increasing strategic possibilities. The hole catalog has also been updated, featuring new designs like Stone & Steeple, Stinger, and Cenote. Team-themed holes such as Fore-0-Fore for Atlanta and Big Apple for New York add unique flair. In total, 15 specially designed holes will be played.
