TGL Season 2 kicks off with Atlanta vs. New York rematch

TGL returns with a high-stakes rematch between Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club at the SoFi Center.

The second season of TGL tees off with a familiar showdown as Atlanta Drive GC faces New York Golf Club on December 28 at the SoFi Center. These two teams met in last season’s final, where Atlanta narrowly claimed victory in both matches. As reigning champions, Atlanta will raise their championship banner before the match begins. The format remains the same, featuring Triples and Singles segments, with both teams starting with three Hammers. Atlanta takes the first tee. Star-studded lineups include Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Xander Schauffele for New York, while Atlanta fields Patrick Cantlay, Lucas Glover, and Billy Horschel.

Atlanta Drive GC enters with proven strengths

Atlanta Drive GC returns with strong stats from last season. They led the league in Singles points scored via the Hammer. Billy Horschel topped the league in Singles points, Patrick Cantlay remained undefeated in Singles against New York, and Lucas Glover impressed with a flawless fairway hit rate. New York Golf Club rebounded from an 0–2 start to reach the playoffs. Cameron Young led all players in total points, showcasing his power off the tee.

New season, new tech: TGL updates playing field

TGL has upgraded the playing surface for Season 2. The GreenZone has been expanded, offering more pin positions and varied putting lines. Enhanced actuators beneath the turf now allow for dynamic contours, adding tactical depth. The course also features new holes like Stone & Steeple, Stinger, and Cenote, alongside team-themed holes such as Fore-0-Fore for Atlanta and Big Apple for New York. A total of 15 custom-designed holes will be played.
