TGL Season 2 Opens with Atlanta vs. New York Rematch

TGL kicks off its second season with a rematch between Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club at the SoFi Center.

The second TGL season begins with a familiar rivalry as Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club face off on December 28. This matchup mirrors last season’s finale, which Atlanta narrowly won by a single point in both final matches. As reigning champions, Atlanta will raise their championship banner before the match begins. The competition follows the established format, featuring Triples and Singles segments. Each team starts with three Hammers, and Atlanta tees off first. Familiar names return to the lineup: Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Xander Schauffele for New York; Patrick Cantlay, Lucas Glover, and Billy Horschel for Atlanta.

Atlanta Drive GC Builds on Proven Strengths

Atlanta Drive GC enters the new season with strong stats from last year. They led the league in Singles points scored via the Hammer. Billy Horschel topped the league in Singles points, Patrick Cantlay remained undefeated in Singles against New York, and Lucas Glover impressed with a perfect fairway hit rate. New York Golf Club rebounded from an 0–2 start to make the playoffs, with Cameron Young leading all players in total points and showcasing his power off the tee.

New Course Features and Technical Enhancements

The TGL has introduced several technical updates for the new season. The GreenZone has been significantly expanded, offering more pin positions and varied putting lines. Additional actuators beneath the turf now allow for adjustable contours, increasing strategic options. The course layout has also been updated, featuring new holes like Stone & Steeple, Stinger, and Cenote. Team-themed holes such as Fore-0-Fore for Atlanta and Big Apple for New York add a unique touch. In total, 15 specially designed holes will be played.
