TGL returns for its second season with a rematch between Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club at the SoFi Center.
The second season of TGL tees off with a familiar rivalry as Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club face off once again on December 28. The two teams last met in the inaugural season’s final, where Atlanta narrowly clinched victory in both matches. As reigning champions, Atlanta will raise their championship banner before the match begins, which will follow the established format featuring Triples and Singles segments. Both teams start with three Hammers, and Atlanta will tee off first. Familiar faces headline the lineups: Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Xander Schauffele for New York; Patrick Cantlay, Lucas Glover, and Billy Horschel for Atlanta.
Atlanta Drive GC Builds on Proven Strengths
Atlanta Drive GC enters the new TGL season with strong metrics from last year. The team excelled in Singles play, earning the most Hammer points across the league. Billy Horschel led all players in Singles points won, while Patrick Cantlay remained undefeated in head-to-head Singles against New York. Lucas Glover stood out with a flawless fairway accuracy. New York Golf Club, despite a 0–2 start, rallied to make the playoffs. Cameron Young led all players in total points, showcasing his power off the tee.
New Course Features and Strategic Enhancements
TGL has introduced several changes to the playing environment for Season 2. The GreenZone has been significantly expanded, offering more pin positions and varied putting lines. Additional actuators beneath the turf now allow for adjustable contours, increasing tactical possibilities. The hole catalog has also been updated, introducing new designs such as Stone & Steeple, Stinger, and Cenote. Team-themed holes like Fore-0-Fore for Atlanta and Big Apple for New York add a personalized touch. A total of 15 specially designed holes will be played.
