TGL kicks off Season Two — and how good is Tiger Woods as MC?

New holes, bigger green, more cameras and signature holes for each team: ‘We’re playing a high-tech video game,’ says Billy Horschel.

It’s Game Day: The Tomorrow’s Golf League (TGL) kicks off its second season today at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, running through March 3. The season opens with a rematch of last year’s final, where Atlanta Drive edged out New York on the final hole to claim the inaugural indoor golf title.

Tiger Woods mic’d up for Jupiter Links

The six teams remain unchanged, but co-owner Tiger Woods and Atlanta’s Justin Thomas are sidelined due to back surgery recovery. Woods has promised to attend every Jupiter Links GC match starting January 13, mic’d up and ready to engage. The 15-time major champion is expected to bring commentary and entertainment value to the broadcast, adding a new layer of star power to the league.

Tech upgrades and signature holes

Season two brings major technical upgrades. The putting green has expanded by 38% to nearly 500 square meters, now featuring 12 pin positions. Over 600 actuators simulate slopes and breaks, making the surface more readable—an edge for elite putters, says Wyndham Clark of The Bay. The artificial turf has also been reoriented so all chips play with the grain, enhancing shot creativity and viewer excitement.

Each team now has a signature hole, designed by top architects like Gil Hanse and Nicklaus Design. The Bay’s ‘Bay Breaker’ features redwoods and San Francisco fog, while New York’s ‘Big Apple’ showcases the Manhattan skyline and Statue of Liberty. Atlanta’s ‘Fore-O-Fore’ highlights the city’s silhouette, and Gil Hanse’s ‘Stone & Steeple’ includes a church and graveyard, punishing imprecise shots with eerie flair.

More cameras, smarter visuals

The SoFi Center now boasts 79 cameras and enhanced Virtual-Eye tech for better shot tracking and ball roll visualization. The award-winning SmartPin Cam returns, offering 360-degree live views from the flagstick’s perspective. With Tiger’s presence and cutting-edge visuals, TGL is doubling down on its entertainment-first approach. Let the games begin.
