TGL kicks off Season Two – Tiger Woods joins as mic’d-up host

New holes, bigger green, more cameras and Signature Holes for teams: ‘We’re playing a high-tech video game,’ says Billy Horschel.

It’s game time again: The Tomorrow’s Golf League (TGL) returns for its second season, launching at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and running through March 3. The opener is a rematch of last season’s final, where Atlanta Drive edged out New York on the final hole to claim the inaugural indoor title.

Tiger Woods joins the action – with a mic

All six teams remain intact, but stars Tiger Woods and Justin Thomas are sidelined for now due to back surgery recoveries. Still, Woods, a TGL co-owner, has promised to attend every Jupiter Links GC match starting January 13, mic’d up and ready to engage. Expect the 15-time major champion to add commentary and entertainment value, offering a new dimension to the broadcast.

Tech upgrades and Signature Holes

The TGL arena has undergone major upgrades. The putting green is now nearly 500 square meters—38% larger than last season—with 12 pin positions. Two bunkers were expanded, and the smallest was removed. The surface now uses 608 actuators to simulate slopes and breaks. ‘The green is a bit easier to read,’ says Wyndham Clark of The Bay. ‘That benefits the best putters among us.’

Artificial turf fibers now run toward the center, making every chip ‘with the grain,’ enhancing shot creativity and viewer excitement. Meanwhile, six new holes have been designed as Signature Holes for each team. The Bay’s ‘Bay Breaker’ features towering redwoods and San Francisco’s skyline. New York’s ‘Big Apple’ hole showcases Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty, while Atlanta’s ‘Fore-O-Fore’ highlights the city’s silhouette.

Virtual Eye and SmartPin Cam return

Technological enhancements include an upgraded Virtual Eye system for better shot tracking and comparisons. The SoFi Center now boasts 79 cameras, including the award-winning SmartPin Cam, offering 360-degree live views from the flagstick’s perspective. With immersive visuals and star power, TGL aims to blend sport and entertainment like never before.
