TaylorMade launches the Qi4D Driver series with four models focusing on maximum speed and compatibility. The new driver detailed for enhanced velocity.
TaylorMade introduces fresh speed and innovation with the Qi4D drivers. Designed for maximum velocity, these new models feature high aerodynamic efficiency and extensive adjustability options. Four distinct models cater to various player styles and swing types.
New Clubfaces and Aerodynamic Refinement
The Qi4D drivers represent TaylorMade’s fastest and most adaptable drivers to date. They feature newly developed carbon clubfaces that deliver more efficient ball speed compared to titanium, while also offering enhanced durability and robustness. Improved roll radii on the face help reduce spin rate variances regardless of high or low ball impact on the clubface.
An advanced Cut-Through Speed Pocket™, designed through finite element analyses (FEA), increases the flexibility of the lower clubface. This creates an expanded high-performance zone stabilizing ball speed in typical strike areas. A corrective curvature on the face complements this, alongside optimized aerodynamics through finely tuned head shapes, smooth transitions, and subtly integrated structures that promote clean airflow throughout the swing.
TaylorMade Qi4D Drivers: Customization with Shafts and Adjustment Systems
A key feature of the Qi4D series is its high level of customization. All models include a 4° loft sleeve allowing adjustments to loft, lie angle, and face angle.
Additionally, specially developed REAX shafts are available, tailored for three different swing characteristics (Hold, Balance, Active) and offered in various flex and weight classes. This enables precise shaft tailoring to different types of players.
Model Overview: Four Drivers with Distinct Focuses
Qi4D
The base model utilizes a four-weight system with movable TAS weights (9 g x 2 / 4 g x 2). Positioning these weights adjusts ball speed, stability, forgiveness, and draw or fade tendencies. Heavier weights positioned forward encourage higher ball speed, while rear placement enhances stability.
Qi4D LS
The Qi4D LS focuses on maximum speed and particularly low spin. Its head shape was aerodynamically optimized via numerical flow simulations to ensure smooth airflow and clean separation at the back of the clubhead. Two TAS weights (15 g and 4 g) allow precise spin and trajectory tuning.
Qi4D Max
The Qi4D Max emphasizes forgiveness without compromising speed. Using aluminum reduces weight and provides additional adjustment options. Two movable TAS weights (13 g and 4 g) permit flexible center of gravity shifts between more ball speed or enhanced stability.
Qi4D Max Lite
The Qi4D Max Lite incorporates technologies from the Max model but in a strictly lightweight design. The head, shaft, and grip are the lightest of the series, aimed at golfers seeking to increase their clubhead speed specifically.
The Qi4D drivers will be available for pre-order from January 8, 2026, priced at €699
