TaylorMade introduces the new Qi4D Driver series with four models designed for maximum speed and compatibility. The new driver detailed.
TaylorMade brings fresh momentum and speed with the Qi4D drivers. Designed for maximum velocity, these new models impress with high aerodynamic efficiency and extensive customization options. Four distinct models cater to different playing and swing types.
New Faces and Aerodynamic Refinements
The Qi4D drivers are TaylorMade’s fastest and most adaptable drivers to date. They feature newly developed carbon faces which produce more efficient ball speed compared to titanium while also being more durable and robust. Improved roll radii on the face help reduce spin rate variation regardless of whether the ball is struck high or low on the face.
An enhanced Cut-Through Speed Pocket™, designed through finite element analysis (FEA), increases face flexibility at the lower section, extending the high performance zone and stabilizing ball speed in typical impact areas. Complementing this is a corrective face curvature. Simultaneously, the head’s aerodynamics are optimized with finely tuned shapes, smooth transitions, and subtly integrated structures supporting clean airflow throughout the swing.
TaylorMade Qi4D Drivers: Customization Through Shafts and Adjustment Systems
A key feature of the Qi4D series is the high degree of personalization. All models come equipped with a 4° loft sleeve that allows for adjustments of loft, lie angle, and face angle.
Additionally, specially developed REAX shafts are used, designed for three swing characteristics (Hold, Balance, and Active) and available in various flex and weight classes. This enables standard shafts to be precisely matched to different player types.
Model Overview: Four Drivers with Different Focuses
Qi4D
The base model uses a quadruple weighting system with movable TAS weights (9 g x 2 / 4 g x 2). Positioning these weights influences ball speed, stability, forgiveness, and draw or fade tendencies. Heavier weights placed forward enhance ball speed, while rear placement increases stability.
Qi4D LS
This model targets maximum speed and particularly low spin. Aerodynamic optimization of the head shape via computational fluid dynamics ensures a smooth airflow and clean separation at the back of the club. Two TAS weights (15 g and 4 g) allow precise spin and trajectory tuning.
Qi4D Max
Prioritizing forgiveness without sacrificing speed, the Qi4D Max employs aluminum to reduce weight and enable additional adjustment options. Two movable TAS weights (13 g and 4 g) offer flexible center-of-gravity movement between more ball speed or greater stability.
Qi4D Max Lite
Sharing technologies with the Max model but designed for lightness, this version features the lightest head, shaft, and grip of the series, targeting golfers seeking to increase clubhead speed specifically.
The Qi4D drivers can be pre-ordered from January 8, 2026, at a price of €699 and will be available in specialist stores from January
