TaylorMade Qi4D Driver: Four Models for Versatility and Speed

TaylorMade introduces the new Qi4D Driver line with four models focused on maximum speed and adjustability for different swing types.

TaylorMade brings fresh momentum and speed with the Qi4D drivers. Designed for maximum speed, the new models impress with high aerodynamic efficiency and extensive customization options. Four different models cater to various playing and swing types.

New Faces and Aerodynamic Refinements

The Qi4D drivers are TaylorMade’s fastest and most adaptable drivers to date. They feature newly developed carbon faces that generate more efficient ball speed compared to titanium, while also being more robust and durable. Enhanced roll radii on the face help reduce variations in spin rate regardless of whether the ball is struck higher or lower on the face.

An advanced Cut-Through Speed Pocket™, designed with finite element analysis (FEA), increases the flexibility of the lower face area, creating an expanded high-performance zone that stabilizes ball speed in typical impact zones. This is complemented by a corrective face curvature. Simultaneously, the aerodynamics of the heads have been maximized with finely tuned head shapes, smooth transitions, and discreetly integrated structures that support clean airflow throughout the swing.

TaylorMade Qi4D Driver: Customization via Shafts and Adjustment Systems

A key feature of the Qi4D series is its high level of personalization. All models come with a 4° loft sleeve, allowing adjustments to loft, lie angle, and face angle.

Additionally, specially developed REAX shafts are used, designed for three different swing characteristics (Hold, Balance, and Active) and available in various flex and weight classes. This enables standard shafts to be tailored to different player types.

Model Overview: Four Drivers with Distinct Focuses

Qi4D: The base model uses a quadruple weighting system with movable TAS weights (9 g x 2 / 4 g x 2). Positioning these weights influences ball speed, stability, forgiveness, and draw or fade tendencies. Heavier weights placed forward promote higher ball speed, while a rear placement increases stability.

Qi4D LS: Optimized for maximum speed and very low spin. Aerodynamically refined through numerical flow simulations to ensure smooth airflow and clean separation at the club’s rear edge. Two TAS weights (15 g and 4 g) provide precise adjustment of spin and trajectory.

Qi4D Max: Prioritizes forgiveness without compromising speed. Uses aluminum to reduce weight and create additional adjustment options. Two movable TAS weights (13 g and 4 g) allow flexible center of gravity shifts between more ball speed or increased stability.

Qi4D Max Lite: Incorporates Max model technologies with a consistently lightweight design. The head, shaft, and grip are the lightest in the series, aimed at golfers seeking to increase clubhead speed.

The Qi4D drivers are available for pre-order starting January 8, 2026, at a price of €699 and will be available from January 29 in specialist stores.
