TaylorMade launches the new Qi4D Driver series with four models focused on maximum speed and compatibility.
TaylorMade introduces the Qi4D drivers bringing new momentum and speed. Designed for maximum velocity, these new models impress with high aerodynamic efficiency and extensive customization options. Four distinct models cater to different playing and swing types.
New Faces and Aerodynamic Refinement
The Qi4D drivers are TaylorMade’s fastest and most adaptable drivers to date. They feature newly developed carbon faces which, compared to titanium, produce more efficient ball speed while being more robust and durable. Improved roll radii on the face help reduce spin rate variations regardless of whether the ball is struck higher or lower on the face.
An advanced Cut-Through Speed Pocket™, designed using finite element analysis (FEA), increases flexibility in the lower face area, creating an extended high-performance zone that stabilizes ball speed in typical impact areas. This is complemented by a corrective face curvature. Additionally, the head aerodynamics have been targeted for maximization with finely tuned head shapes, smooth transitions, and discreetly integrated structures supporting clean airflow throughout the swing.
TaylorMade Qi4D Drivers: Customization Through Shafts and Adjustment Systems
A key feature of the Qi4D series is its high level of customization. All models are equipped with a 4° loft sleeve allowing adjustments to loft, lie angle, and face angle.
Specially developed REAX shafts are also used, tailored to three different swing characteristics (Hold, Balance, and Active) and available in various flex and weight classes. This allows standard shafts to be specifically matched to different player types.
Model Overview: Four Drivers with Different Focuses
Qi4D
The base model employs a quadruple weight system with movable TAS weights (9 g x 2 / 4 g x 2). Depending on positioning, ball speed, stability, forgiveness, and draw or fade tendencies can be influenced. Heavier weights positioned forward promote higher ball speeds, while rear positioning increases stability.
Qi4D LS
The Qi4D LS is designed for maximum speed and particularly low spin. Aerodynamic optimization of the head shape via computational fluid dynamics ensures a smooth airflow and clean separation at the rear. Two TAS weights (15 g and 4 g) allow precise spin and trajectory adjustments.
Qi4D Max
The Qi4D Max prioritizes forgiveness without sacrificing speed. Use of aluminum reduces weight and creates additional adjustment options. Two movable TAS weights (13 g and 4 g) provide flexible center of gravity shifting between more ball speed or enhanced stability.
Qi4D Max Lite
The Qi4D Max Lite carries over Max model technologies but focuses on a consistently lightweight design. The head, shaft, and grip are the lightest in the series aimed at golfers looking to specifically increase their clubhead speed.
The Qi4D drivers will be available for pre-order from January 8, 2026, at a price of €699 and available in specialized retail stores
