TaylorMade Qi4D Driver: Four Models for Speed and Versatility

TaylorMade introduces the new Qi4D Driver with four models focused on maximum speed and compatibility. A driver designed for enhanced velocity in detail.

TaylorMade brings fresh momentum and speed with the Qi4D drivers. Designed for maximum speed, the new models impress with high aerodynamic efficiency and extensive adjustability, covering a range of swing and player types through four distinct models.

New Clubfaces and Aerodynamic Refinements

The Qi4D drivers are TaylorMade’s fastest and most adaptable drivers to date. They feature newly developed carbon clubfaces, which generate more efficient ball speeds compared to titanium, while being more robust and durable. Improved roll radii on the clubface help reduce spin rate deviations regardless of whether the ball is struck higher or lower on the face.

An advanced Cut-Through Speed Pocketâ„¢, designed with Finite Element Analysis (FEA), increases flexibility in the lower area of the clubface. This creates an expanded high-performance zone, stabilizing ball speed in typical impact areas. This is complemented by a corrective clubface curvature. At the same time, the aerodynamics of the heads have been maximized, with finely tuned shapes, smooth transitions, and subtly integrated structures promoting clean airflow throughout the swing.

TaylorMade Qi4D Driver: Personalized Adjustments with Shafts and Settings

A key feature of the Qi4D series is its high level of customization. All models come with a 4° loft sleeve allowing adjustments of loft, lie angle, and face angle.

Additionally, specially developed REAX shafts are used. These are designed for three different swing characteristics (Hold, Balance, and Active) and are available in various flex and weight categories, enabling precise fitting of standard shafts to different player types.

Model Overview: Four Drivers with Distinct Focuses

Qi4D

The base model uses a quadruple weight system with movable TAS weights (9 g x 2 and 4 g x 2). Depending on their positioning, ball speed, stability, forgiveness, and draw or fade tendencies can be influenced. Heavier weights in the front promote higher ball speeds, while placement towards the back increases stability.

Qi4D LS

The Qi4D LS targets maximum speed and very low spin. Using computational fluid dynamics, the clubhead shape was aerodynamically optimized to ensure smooth airflow and clean separation at the heel. Two TAS weights (15 g and 4 g) allow precise adjustment of spin and trajectory.

Qi4D Max

The Qi4D Max emphasizes forgiveness without sacrificing speed. The use of aluminum reduces weight and provides additional adjustment options. Two movable TAS weights (13 g and 4 g) offer flexible center-of-gravity placement to balance speed and stability.

Qi4D Max Lite

The Qi4D Max Lite adopts the technologies of the Max model but focuses on a consistently light design. The head, shaft, and grip are the lightest in the series, aimed at golfers looking to increase their club
