TaylorMade Qi4D Driver: Four Models for Versatility and Speed

TaylorMade introduces the new Qi4D driver lineup with four models focused on maximum speed and compatibility for different swing types.

TaylorMade brings fresh momentum and speed with the Qi4D drivers. Designed for maximum velocity, the new models impress with high aerodynamic efficiency and extensive adjustability, covering various playing and swing types.

New Clubfaces and Aerodynamic Refinements

The Qi4D drivers are TaylorMade’s fastest and most adaptable drivers to date. They feature newly developed carbon clubfaces that generate more efficient ball speeds compared to titanium while being more durable and robust. Improved roll radii on the clubface help reduce spin rate deviations regardless of whether the ball is struck high or low on the face.

An advanced Cut-Through Speed Pocket™, developed using Finite Element Analysis (FEA), enhances the flexibility of the lower clubface area, expanding the high-performance zone and stabilizing ball speed in typical impact areas. This is complemented by a corrective clubface curvature. Additionally, the aerodynamics of the driver heads have been optimized, with fine-tuned shapes, smooth transitions, and subtle integrated structures promoting clean airflow during the entire swing.

TaylorMade Qi4D Drivers: Customization with Shafts and Adjustment Systems

A key feature of the Qi4D series is its high level of customization. All models come with a 4° loft sleeve allowing adjustment of loft, lie angle, and face angle.

Furthermore, specially developed REAX shafts are used, designed for three different swing characteristics (Hold, Balance, and Active) and available in various flex and weight classes. This ensures that standard shafts can also be targeted to different player types.

Model Overview: Four Drivers with Distinct Focus Areas

Qi4D

The base model uses a four-weight system with movable TAS weights (9 g x 2 / 4 g x 2). Their positioning influences ball speed, stability, forgiveness, and draw or fade tendencies. Heavier weights at the front encourage higher ball speeds, while rear placement enhances stability.

Qi4D LS

The Qi4D LS targets maximum speed and extremely low spin. Its shape has been aerodynamically optimized using computational fluid dynamics to ensure smooth airflow and clean separation at the clubhead’s rear. Two TAS weights (15 g and 4 g) allow precise spin and trajectory adjustment.

Qi4D Max

The Qi4D Max emphasizes forgiveness without sacrificing speed. Using aluminum reduces weight and provides extra adjustment options. Two movable TAS weights (13 g and 4 g) enable flexible center of gravity shifts between enhanced ball speed or increased stability.

Qi4D Max Lite

The Qi4D Max Lite incorporates the Max model’s technology but focuses on a lightweight design. The head, shaft, and grip are the lightest in the series, targeting golfers who want to increase their clubhead speed.

The Qi4D drivers are available for pre-order starting January 8, 2026, priced at €699, and
