TaylorMade Qi4D Driver: Four Models for Versatility and Speed

TaylorMade launches the new Qi4D driver with four models focusing on maximum speed and compatibility for various swing types.

TaylorMade introduces the Qi4D drivers designed for maximum speed, featuring high aerodynamic efficiency and extensive adjustability. Four different models cater to a range of playing and swing styles.

New Faces and Aerodynamic Refinements

The Qi4D drivers are TaylorMade’s fastest and most adaptable drivers to date, based on newly developed carbon faces that deliver greater ball speed compared to titanium, while also being more durable. Improved roll radii on the faces help reduce spin rate variations, regardless of high or low strike locations.

An advanced Cut-Through Speed Pocket™, designed using finite element analysis (FEA), increases flexibility in the lower face area, expanding the high-performance zone to stabilize ball speed across typical sweet spots. This is complemented by corrective face curvature and optimized aerodynamics through carefully tuned head shapes, smooth transitions, and subtle integrated structures for clean airflow throughout the swing.

TaylorMade Qi4D Drivers: Personalized Adjustment with Shafts and Settings

A key feature of the Qi4D series is its high degree of customization. All models come equipped with a 4° loft sleeve allowing adjustments of loft, lie angle, and face angle.

Additionally, specially developed REAX shafts are offered, engineered for three distinct swing characteristics (Hold, Balance, and Active) and available in various flex and weight classes, enabling targeted shaft fitting for different player types.

Model Overview: Four Drivers with Different Focuses

Qi4D

The base model features a quadruple weight system with movable TAS weights (9 g x 2 / 4 g x 2), enabling adjustments for ball speed, stability, forgiveness, and draw or fade tendencies. Heavier weights positioned forward promote higher ball speeds, while rear placement enhances stability.

Qi4D LS

The Qi4D LS focuses on maximum speed and very low spin. Computational fluid dynamics optimized the head shape to ensure smooth airflow and clean separation at the clubhead’s trailing edge. Two TAS weights (15 g and 4 g) allow precise tuning of spin and trajectory.

Qi4D Max

The Qi4D Max prioritizes forgiveness without sacrificing speed. Aluminum use reduces weight and creates additional adjustment options. Two movable TAS weights (13 g and 4 g) offer flexible center of gravity positioning between more ball speed or increased stability.

Qi4D Max Lite

The Qi4D Max Lite adopts the Max model’s technologies but emphasizes a lightweight design. Head, shaft, and grip are the lightest in the series, aimed at golfers looking to increase their clubhead speed.

The Qi4D drivers are available for pre-order from January 8, 2026, at a price of €699 and will be in specialist retailers from January 29.
