TaylorMade launches the new Qi4D Driver with four models focusing on maximum speed and compatibility. The new driver detailed for enhanced velocity.
TaylorMade introduces the Qi4D drivers bringing new momentum and pace. Designed for maximum speed, these new models impress with high aerodynamic efficiency and extensive adjustability. Four different models address various playing and swing types.
New Clubfaces and Aerodynamic Refinements
The Qi4D drivers are TaylorMade’s fastest and most adaptable drivers to date. They feature newly developed carbon clubfaces that produce more efficient ball speed compared to titanium, while being more durable. Improved roll radii on the clubface help reduce spin rate deviations whether the ball is struck higher or lower on the face.
An advanced Cut-Through Speed Pocket™, designed using finite element analysis (FEA), increases clubface flexibility in the lower region. This broadens the high-performance area stabilizing ball speed across typical impact zones. This is complemented by a corrective clubface curvature. Additionally, the clubheads’ aerodynamics have been maximized with finely tuned shapes, smooth transitions, and subtly integrated structures supporting clean airflow throughout the swing.
TaylorMade Qi4D Drivers: Customization Through Shafts and Adjustment Systems
A key feature of the Qi4D series is a high degree of customization. All models come equipped with a 4° loft sleeve allowing adjustments to loft, lie angle, and face angle.
Furthermore, specially developed REAX shafts are used, designed for three different swing characteristics (Hold, Balance, and Active) and available in various flex and weight classes. This allows standard shafts to be precisely matched to different player types.
Model Overview: Four Drivers with Distinct Focuses
Qi4D
The base model uses a four-weight system with movable TAS weights (9g x 2 / 4g x 2). Depending on positioning, ball speed, stability, forgiveness, as well as draw or fade tendencies can be influenced. Heavier weights placed forward promote higher ball speeds, while rear placement increases stability.
Qi4D LS
The Qi4D LS focuses on maximum speed and very low spin. The head shape has been aerodynamically optimized using numerical flow simulations to ensure smooth airflow and clean separation at the club’s rear. Two TAS weights (15g and 4g) allow precise adjustments of spin and trajectory.
Qi4D Max
The Qi4D Max prioritizes forgiveness without sacrificing speed. Aluminum use reduces weight and enables additional adjustment options. Two movable TAS weights (13g and 4g) allow flexible center of gravity shifts between more speed or increased stability.
Qi4D Max Lite
The Qi4D Max Lite adopts the Max model’s technologies but emphasizes a consistently lightweight design. Head, shaft, and grip are the lightest in the series, aimed at golfers seeking to specifically increase clubhead speed.
The Qi4D drivers can be pre-ordered from January 8, 202
