TaylorMade launches the new Qi4D Driver series with four models focused on maximum speed and compatibility. The new driver details designed for increased velocity.
TaylorMade introduces fresh momentum and speed with the Qi4D drivers. Engineered for maximum speed, these new models impress with high aerodynamic efficiency and extensive adjustability. Four distinct models cater to different playing and swing styles.
New Clubfaces and Aerodynamic Refinement
The Qi4D drivers are TaylorMade’s fastest and most adaptable drivers to date. They feature newly developed carbon clubfaces which deliver higher ball speeds compared to titanium while being more durable and robust. Improved roll radii on the clubface help reduce spin rate deviations, regardless of whether the ball is struck higher or lower on the face.
An enhanced Cut-Through Speed Pocket™, designed via Finite Element Analysis (FEA), increases face flexibility in the lower region, expanding the high-performance zone and stabilizing ball speed in typical impact areas. This is complemented by a corrective face curvature. Parallelly, head aerodynamics have been maximized with finely tuned shapes, smooth transitions, and subtly integrated structures aiding clean airflow throughout the swing.
TaylorMade Qi4D Drivers: Customization Through Shafts and Adjustment Systems
A key feature of the Qi4D series is extensive customization. All models come equipped with a 4° loft sleeve allowing adjustments of loft, lie angle, and face angle.
Additionally, specially developed REAX shafts are employed, designed for three distinct swing characteristics (Hold, Balance, Active) and offered in various flex and weight options. This allows the standard shafts to be fine-tuned for different player types.
Model Overview: Four Drivers with Unique Focuses
Qi4D
The base model uses a quad weight system with movable TAS weights (9 g x 2 / 4 g x 2). Positioning these weights influences ball speed, stability, forgiveness, and draw or fade tendencies. Heavier front weights promote higher ball speeds, while rear placement improves stability.
Qi4D LS
The Qi4D LS targets maximum speed and particularly low spin. CFD-optimized head shape ensures consistent airflow and clean separation at the back. Two TAS weights (15 g and 4 g) allow precise tuning of spin and ball flight.
Qi4D Max
The Qi4D Max emphasizes forgiveness without sacrificing speed. Aluminum use reduces weight and adds adjustment options. Two movable TAS weights (13 g and 4 g) permit flexible center-of-gravity shifting between increased ball speed or enhanced stability.
Qi4D Max Lite
The Qi4D Max Lite applies Max model technologies but with an ultra-lightweight design. The head, shaft, and grip are the lightest in the series, catering to golfers aiming to boost clubhead speed deliberately.
Pre-orders for the Qi4D drivers start January 8, 2026, at a price of €699, with retail availability from January 29.
