TaylorMade launches the new Qi4D Driver with four models focusing on maximum speed and compatibility for diverse swing types.
TaylorMade introduces the Qi4D Drivers, designed for maximum speed, featuring high aerodynamic efficiency and extensive adjustability. Four different models cater to various playing and swing styles.
Innovative Clubfaces and Aerodynamic Refinements
The Qi4D Drivers are TaylorMade’s fastest and most adaptable drivers to date, utilizing newly developed carbon clubfaces that generate faster ball speeds compared to titanium while being more durable. Improved roll radii on the clubface help reduce variations in spin rate regardless of hitting position.
An enhanced Cut-Through Speed Pocket™, designed using Finite Element Analysis (FEA), increases flexibility in the lower clubface area, creating an expanded high-performance zone that stabilizes ball speed in typical impact areas. This is complemented by a corrective clubface curvature and optimized head aerodynamics with refined shapes, smooth transitions, and integrated structures for clean airflow throughout the swing.
TaylorMade Qi4D Drivers: Customization with Shafts and Adjustment Systems
A key feature of the Qi4D series is high individualization. All models incorporate a 4° loft sleeve allowing adjustments to loft, lie angle, and face angle.
Additionally, specially developed REAX shafts tailored to three swing characteristics (Hold, Balance, Active) are available in various flex and weight classes, enabling targeted customization to different player types.
Model Overview: Four Drivers with Unique Focuses
Qi4D
The base model uses a four-weight system with movable TAS weights (9 g x 2 / 4 g x 2). Positioning these weights impacts ball speed, stability, forgiveness, and tendencies toward draw or fade. Heavier weights positioned forward increase ball speed while rear placement enhances stability.
Qi4D LS
The Qi4D LS is optimized for maximum speed and exceptionally low spin. Aerodynamically optimized head shapes using computational fluid dynamics ensure smooth airflow and clean separation at the club’s rear. Two TAS weights (15 g and 4 g) allow precise spin and trajectory adjustments.
Qi4D Max
The Qi4D Max prioritizes forgiveness without sacrificing speed. The use of aluminum reduces weight and enables additional adjustment options. Two movable TAS weights (13 g and 4 g) allow flexible center of gravity shifts between increased speed or higher stability.
Qi4D Max Lite
The Qi4D Max Lite employs Max model technology with a consistent lightweight design. Clubhead, shaft, and grip are the lightest in the series, targeting golfers aiming to increase clubhead speed.
The Qi4D Drivers will be available for pre-order from January 8, 2026, at €699 and will hit retail on January 29.
