Srixon ZXiR Irons: More Forgiveness for Long Game Performance

Srixon expands its iron lineup with the ZXiR and ZXiR HL, designed to offer more forgiveness and comfort in the long game.

With the launch of the new ZXiR and ZXiR HL irons, Srixon raises the bar in the game-improvement iron category. These models are aimed at players seeking extra support—whether it’s more distance, better control, or a softer feel. The new irons round out the ZXi family and make it easier to step into the series, combining a soft impact feel with high forgiveness while maintaining the signature design.

New Material, Enhanced Feel

At the core of the ZXiR development is a new material called i-ALLOY, which Srixon claims is about ten percent softer than traditional 431 steel. This results in reduced vibrations and a softer feel at impact. Paired with an updated face technology known as the MainFrame pattern, the irons deliver a smoother strike and increased ball speed. The sweet spot has also been repositioned to align with where most players make contact.

Visually, the irons stay true to the ZXi identity with a cavity-back design and sleek topline. However, wider soles, longer faces, and increased offset aim to boost confidence at address. The HL version is tailored for players with slower swing speeds, offering higher launch angles and easier ball flight.

Custom Fitting Options

The ZXi family now includes seven models, ensuring a fit for nearly every swing type. As with previous releases, Srixon emphasizes customization. Shaft options from KBS, grips from Golf Pride, and various combinations allow players and fitters to fine-tune performance. The new irons will be available for fitting pre-orders starting December 4, 2025, with official retail availability beginning February 6, 2026. The price for a set of six irons is €1,049, available in both steel and graphite versions.
